vinyl hunting has become my new hobby since getting my record player. saturday, ally and i checked out ‘my mind’s eye records’ in lakewood. kick ass place filled with new, old and used vinyls…and cool cheech and chong christmas lights

i can only take so much of sitting in the house in the winter, so ally and i decided to check out the newly renovated art museum in oberlin. it’s not a big gallery, but they do have some impressive art, including the warhol brillo piece.

so, my incredible fiance got me one of the best christmas gifts ever…..a record player. i’ve become completely obsessed with vinyls. i have 7, for now, but i’m sure that will increase, very fast.

happy 2012! hope everyone has as good of a new years as i did. mine was spent in lakehurst, nj visiting my best friend and her family. new years day was sunny and almost 60 so ally and i decided to go to the lake and take pictures. and it was sunset, which means it was the best time of the day to shoot!

as i’ve said multiple times before, oberlin is definitely one of my favorite places to take pictures. this time i used film there and LOVED the way the pictures turned out.
